Ashley & Chad – married!

Ashley and Chad are an awesome couple that tied the knot in Levelland last weekend and then had a fabulous reception at the Texas Tech stadium.  More pictures to come, but I wanted to get a sneak peek in here so Ashley and Chad would have something to see when they get home from their honeymoon Sunday (I would ideally like to always have sneak peeks up this soon, but, well, life’s not ideal) :)

Alisha & Keith – married!

I had the fun opportunity to hang out with Alisha and Keith and their families a couple weekends ago.  Alisha truly has a unique style and she made all these little detailed arrangements so that I would have prime opportunities to get good shots.  Little things like arranging for a limo to take them from the hotel to the ceremony site so that even those shots would be picturesque – positioning herself by a window when she was getting ready (thanks!) and giving Keith super-rad cufflinks for the wedding present (well, maybe she didn’t do this for me, but I love cufflink pics and I’ve never caught a groom putting them on)

One thing I noticed all day was how giddy these two act around each other.  I bet I could have taken 100+ stolen kisses shots (each followed by a delirious smile).  I love seeing that and I’m really happy they let me tag along.  Here are my top 5: (and don’t forget, facebook has more!)

The S Family

This family blew my ever-lovin’ mind.  They go to our church and I regret that our shoot was the first time I really got to talk to them personally.  I had always admired Mike and Ashlie from across the room, handling their family with such grace and love.  But seeing them in action was amazing.  Those kids EACH came up to me first thing before any pictures were shot, and shook my hand and introduced themselves.  And when the shoot was over, it was hugs all around.  I feel really lucky to have this job sometimes!

Amy and Andy – the golden couple

Well I can’t get this set fully edited until next week (wedding albums need makin’!) but I looked through and found a couple of winners that both showcase how beautiful Amy and Andy are together, and show off my new 5d Mark II – love this camera and I’m excited to use it on it’s very first wedding this weekend!

April and Adrian – engaged! (lubbock wedding photographer)

I found April and Adrian via Justin and Frances.  Adrian was the most punctual groomsman at the wedding (good job, Adrian)  and so when they contacted me I was pretty excited to get to meet them and see what their style was as a couple.  They are the very definition of cool and I really enjoyed hanging out with them last week.  They were both terribly uncomfortable with PDA so naturally, I was their worst nightmare.  What can I say – it’s my job.  So amidst the “kiss her head! hug each other! touch foreheads!” I think they actually had some fun.  Sometimes you gotta throw self-consciousness to the wind and just go with it.  This is a very solidly great couple – I know they will have a great marriage.  Sometimes you just know.  I know.  And I can’t wait for their wedding day.  Here are my top 5 – go to Facebook to get 20ish more and hey, become a fan while you’re at it:
