Amber & Brandon = freakishly cool wedding

Amber and Brandon got married at an art gallery in downtown Dallas a couple weeks ago.  I had such a blast hanging out with them – partly because they are so awesome and partly because I am long-time friends with Ashley Sinclair, Amber’s sister and through her, have come to love her entire family.  I felt so…at home with this crowd.  Probably my favorite moments of the day were watching Ashley and Amber and their two brothers dancing at the reception.  That deserves a separate blog post – coming soon.  For now, here are my favorite images and moments from Amber and Brandon’s awesome day:

Robyn + Zachary = Hitched!

I’ve honestly never had a wedding day where I felt more like part of the family than I did at Robyn and Zach’s wedding. It’s rare when parents of the bride and groom ask ME if I am comfortable, happy, doing well throughout the day. Even more rare when the parents of the bride treat me as if I am doing them a favor by being there – as if they didn’t have to pay me a thing! Amazing. Truly loving families produced two of the nicest people on the planet. Robyn and Zach are going to have such a happy life – I just know it.

Grace is 9 months old!

Oh, sweet Gracie.  You certainly are a photographer’s dream.  You know what the camera is there to do and by golly, you make it happen.  Here are my top 5 (but go to my facebook and look at the other 8 or so and become a fan while you’re at it!)

 

 

 

Danielle and Michael

are about the cutest couple I’ve ever seen.  Do I say that too much?  It’s true!  She has an aversion to public affection so the combo of me and Michael really pushed her out of that comfort zone!  The thing I loved to see was how much they truly love each other and how happy they are when they are together.

Robyn’s Bridal Session

So Robyn is getting married next weekend and because of rain and having to cancel her original shoot, we basically did a shot-gun shoot on Wednesday and I speedily got it edited so they could pick one out to have up at the wedding.  The wedding is going to be out at Fulford Barn in Brownfield and it looks so amazing down there.  Marshy, covered in clover – gorgeous!  Here are a few of my favorites:

 

So I guess I’m a bit of a flare-freak lately.  In my most hippie voice I will declare that I think they are God’s jewelry for photographs.  Doesn’t it look like a drop necklace?

Frances and Justin wedding sneak peek!

So I marveled at how a fellow photog got her sneak peek up the DAY AFTER a wedding she shot this weekend.  I am such a control freak about having to do things in order so it makes me panic a bit to choose images here and there to edit them out of order.  But as she said, the clients love a little something to tide them over until all the rest of the pictures are finished.  So I’m jumping on the bandwagon and I’ll be posting wedding sneak peeks a lot sooner after the big day than I have in the past (although I never thought two weeks was that bad).  :)

Frances and Justin exchanged their wedding vows at Trinity Chapel on Saturday afternoon.  It was threatening rain all morning and was actually pouring when I woke up but just like any perfect day should, the rain cleared and left a cool breeze and beautiful clouds for us to enjoy.  I cried two times during their wedding day – a record for me!  Once during the vows (the picture later will tell you why) and once when Frances and her dad danced together at the reception.  These two families have a lot of love and I was glad to be surrounded by that all day.
