Hillary & Chris – post wedding session

Hillary and Chris are so awesome.  Hillary contacted me a few weeks ago, saying that she and Chris just had a few formal portraits taken at their wedding in Vegas and that she wanted more!  She then proceeded to tell me the story of how they got together and the ideas just came flooding in.  She lived directly above Chris in the same apartment complex and while it took her a bit to notice him, he noticed her right away and even told his family that he was going to marry her one day.  The laundry facility at their apartment complex was the first time they really talked.  As Hillary puts it, “We slowly began to say “Hello” in passing and had a wonderful chat in the laundry room one afternoon. (Can I just tell you how amazingly awkward it is having a chat with a man you find attractive while washing your dirty laundry!)”  Chris still didn’t ask her for her number that day.   So one afternoon while she was at the mall, she passed by the Navy recruiting office where Chris worked and got his card and called him.  Atta girl.

Needless to say they’ve been together ever since.  Hillary really expressed the importance that our shoot reflect the fun that she and Chris always have.  I’m pretty sure I only made them act serious a few times and the rest, well, as you’ll see, we just goofed around.  I loved the time I had shooting with them and I wish they lived closer so we could all join the same bowling league.

Ack! You have outdone yourself again. That laundry photo is amazing! Hope you're well. I don't get as much internet time these days, but think of you often!

I haven't peeked at your blog in a while, and WOW! I'm a sucker for that 1940's vibe. These are sooooo romantic!
